Following recent mediation, it was agreed that Cevey and Bates would move out by the end of January. However, The Post has learned that, in the pending counterclaim, Cevey will argue that Collins verbally promised to give her half of the house in exchange for her leaving Mejjati.

PC: I think it's a question of how many notes you use. A lot of hip hop guys have used "In The Air Tonight" in various shapes and forms, and if they're going to change it, I have to be told and give my permission. But otherwise, people just use it if they want.

PC: Yeah, "Papa Was A Rolling Stone." I mean, there are a few of them, but it was very difficult to take that one on, and I think we ended up doing it justice. I think "Going To A Go-Go" is another one. It's difficult to choose favorites, if you like, because anytime on any given day you just hear it by accident and suddenly say, "Well, that actually sounds pretty good." So, for me, the project is fresh enough to try to resist naming individual songs. But I think because of its length and the kind of song it is, "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" was one of the more trying songs--the one that kind of pushed us a little bit into getting the arrangement and the sound exactly right. Of course, Bob Babbitt of The Funk Brothers played bass on that track, and Eddie Willis was on guitar as well, so we had part of the team that did the original, you know?

Basically, Orianne says that in 2015 ... she and Phil rekindled their relationship, and she claims Phil told her that if she divorced her then-husband, Charles Alami, and relinquished her stake in their $20 million estate on Sunset Island in Miami ... he'd give her a 50% stake in their new pad.

But when a last-minute PJ ticket became available, I decided to give it a go and formulated a half-assed plan to do both things, because, YOLO!! I would drive to the nearest stop on the Northern Indiana commuter rail line, ditch my car, ride into Chicago, see most of the show (Pearl Jam having long since established a reputation for near-Springsteen levels of marathon performance), leave Wrigley in time to catch the last train out of the city, drive home, catch a few hours of sleep, then hit the road again for the camping trip.

It was the same thing for me when i satarted lisen to prog and heard about Genesis, Phil collins: drums? that phil collins who sings pop? in a prog band? Then i got this idea that Genesis was some pop/prog band and i refused to give em a shans i started to lisen to pink floyd and yes then king crimson but Genesis never! no pop/prog or prog light for me, so i dident start lisen to them before i came here and saw how high regarded they where here. Still dont think theyer the greates prog band but no doubt a fantastic band, and much beter then i ever tought they whuld be.

Collins didn't end up joining the country star, but he did give his blessing, Brown explains. "I ended up just writing to his song, 'Feel It in the Air.' We were sampling that big drum fill, and the title is 'I Can Feel It,' so it's, I can feel it in the air tonight."

"In the Air Tonight" gives me chills too. I saw Phil perform it live on his "Into the Light" tour and it was really cool! The stadium was completely dark except for these lights encircling the stage that streched out and started looking through the crowd. The lights looked like those things that a submarine uses to see the surface. The overall effect was really simple but effective. It was really neat.

Yeah, Collins wasn't exactly the first choice for the role of the new frontman. According to Chris Roberts of Louder, losing Gabriel was a big gut punch, and Genesis spent some time exploring new options, from continuing as an instrumental group to making literal hundreds of singers audition in vain. Eventually, guitarist Steve Hackett, who knew what Collins could do, attended the drummer's wedding with Yes vocalist Jon Anderson and convinced him to give it a shot. Collins agreed to give it a shot, which presented another problem: With him singing, they'd need another drummer of his world-class caliber. After Yes and King Crimson veteran Bill Bruford agreed to sit behind the drums, the puzzle was complete, and Genesis could return to the stage. With a new vocalist who had the goodwill of the audience due to already being a band member, a bunch of new, more accessible songs, and a newfound ability to use two drummers on occasion, Genesis was able to soar to even greater heights of fame. e24fc04721
