Again it's NOT the Kinks or any cover version of it. It's not Layla either. There was a bit of a one hit wonder to it. I also seem to remember a slight Sussudio vibe to it (again why it reminded me of Phil Collins). This was a completely different song where the chorus really stretches out the name Lola. Please help me kill this Earworm!

I really think this song pretty much explains itself. No need to dissect it. It is a song about a man who meets a woman, that in time he falls in love with, but the woman is always leaving him alone. She is all caught up on the material things of Life. No matter what he does for her..it is never enough. So.... He hangs on..and on..until he can't hang on no more. He tried and tried (3 years..to the day) and she is still. Set inher ways. He can never get her to see that she is never there for him. It is my opinion, that SOMETIMES in Life... We give, and give and give of oneself so much until there i s nothing more to give. You get tired of getting hurt..but you Love that person so much that you go back, and try, and try, and try...(12 times, within a 3 year period) and she won't change her ways...so you live her on morning... No need to say "Goodbye" you've said it enough.. So you leave. Knowing that you still Love her, you just can't take it no more. It hurts to know..to remember... How much. You caved in... to try and please her. But, it never was enough. And, now...it's to late. So...Do you remember... Thanks..Sir Phil Collins

I had a bad bad bad breakup with a girl a year or two ago. This song reminded me of her time and time again, and it's always good to remember the good stuff. And trying to stay friends is good also, although you're pretty lucky to stay friends. That's cool, props to you both.

Phil Collins wrote this song during a difficult time in his life. He was going through a divorce, and the song reflects the pain and sadness he was feeling at the time. The lyrics talk about a past love that the singer remembers with nostalgia.

The song is about heartbreak, loneliness, and the memories we hold onto after a relationship has ended. It talks about a past love that the singer remembers with nostalgia. The lyrics paint a picture of a lost love and the pain that comes with that loss.

Tell me now, tell me now (do you remember? Now it's over)

Tell me now, tell me now (do you remember? Oh, it's over)

Do you remember? (Do you remember? Now it's over)

(Do you remember? Oh, it's over)

The first verse suggests that despite Collins' love for his partner, there was an unresolved issue in the relationship that contributed to its downfall. Collins feels that communication may have been a barrier to reconciliation and apologizes for not speaking up. The chorus is a question directed at the partner, asking if they remember the love they shared.

After laying down some chords on his Arturia MiniLab MIDI controller, Sickick samples, triggers and loops vocal lines using a Pioneer DJM-S11. Cleverly mixing up vocal phrases from each track, he produces a call-and-response effect that sees Phil Collins answering MJ's lyrics ("do you remember?") with some of his own: "I remember, don't worry". e24fc04721
