Ph.D. Workshop in Networks and Political Economy
University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne
The Ph.D. Workshop in Networks and Political Economy is organized by Ph.D. candidates from the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne to bring together Ph.D. candidates and early postdocs across diverse fields of economics.
The conference will focus on topics of political economy. In particular, we hope to see papers that employ methodologies of network analysis, machine learning, text analysis, applied economics, behavioral economics, spatial econometrics, and complexity, but everyone is welcome to apply.
The workshop provides a unique opportunity for researchers to discuss their projects. Members from the faculty of Paris 1 and potentially external scholars from other Paris universities will offer their feedback as discussants for participants' presentations.
We are happy to announce that the workshop will host four exceptional academics as keynote speakers: David Chavalarias, Alan Kirman, Maria Petrova, and Ekaterina Zhuravskaya.
The deadline for applying has been extended to the 6th of November! It can be done by submitting an extended abstract on the form below.
The applicants will receive a reviewing package, which they must return graded within 14 days. Failure to participate in the review process will result in an automatic rejection.
There is also the possibility of subscribing to our mailing list to receive reminders and updates about the workshop and its deadlines.
Travel stipends may be granted to participants, but they are not guaranteed.
We warmly thank the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Centre d’Économie de la Sorbonne, and the Young Scholars Initiative for the support provided, which made it possible for this workshop to happen.
