New Trends in High Energy Theory

We are pleased to announce the fourth PhD seminar "New Trends in High Energy Theory" in the line of the CERN – SEENET-MTP PhD Training Program. The seminar will be held at the Faculty of Physics, University of Sofia, Bulgaria, from October 15 (arrival day) to October 21 (departure day), 2017.

Description

The event is intended for PhD students with interests in High Energy Physics and String Theory. The students will be given the opportunity to attend lectures from introductory to advanced level. The lectures will be followed by exercise classes.

Registration: Registration is now closed.

Financial support: You can apply for financial support. Applications for financial support should be made not later than September 10^th (The deadline for financial support is extended till 16^th September). The request should be sent at sofiastrings@gmail.com with subject "Financial support request" and short information about the applicant (name, country, institution, etc.). Uppon approval you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Local expenses will be covered for the students whose applications are accepted. Travel expenses will be reimbursed for a number of students depending on the available budget.

CV and a letter of recommendation: After registration all students are requested to provide both a CV and a letter of recommendation at sofiastrings@gmail.com

Participation fee: There is a participation fee of 200 EUR. This fee is waived for students approved for financial suport. The fee covers accommodation, local transport, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

• Black holes and holographic correspondence
• Gauge theory and holography
• Supersymmetry and supergravity - holographic perspectives
