We are pleased to share a selection of moments from the Seminar "Neurosurgery Novel Advancements", held at the University of Ioannina from March 17–21, 2025. The week-long seminar featured lectures, workshops, and collaborative sessions led by Professor Wilheim Eisner from the Medizinische Universität Innsbruck, Austria.
Key topics included:
Stereotactic procedures and surgical accuracy
Intraoperative neuromonitoring and electrophysiology
Awake craniotomy techniques and interdisciplinary approaches
Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) beyond traditional indications
Collaborative presentations and discussions with PhD students
We would like to thank Professor Wilheim Eisner for visiting our Institute and leading a highly engaging and productive seminar. His expertise and dedication significantly enriched the academic and clinical discourse within our department.

Στο πλαίσιο του εορτασμού των 60 χρόνων λειτουργίας του Πανεπιστημίου Ιωαννίνων, τα έξι Ξενόγλωσσα Διδακτορικά Προγράμματα Σπουδών του Π.Ι. – Υποέργα της Πράξης «Υποστήριξη Δράσεων Διεθνοποίησης του Πανεπιστημίου Ιωαννίνων – MIS: 6004807», διοργανώνουν Ημερίδα με θέμα «ΔΙΕΘΝΗ – ΞΕΝΟΓΛΩΣΣΑ ΔΙΔΑΚΤΟΡΙΚΑ ΣΤΟ ΠΑΝΕΠΙΣΤΗΜΙΟ ΙΩΑΝΝΙΝΩΝ». Η εκδήλωση θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 21 Οκτωβρίου 2024, στο ξενοδοχείο Grand Serai (ώρα έναρξης: 17:30).

We are pleased to announce the call for poster session proposals for the upcoming International Conference on “Neurosurgery Novel Advancements”, to be held on 1-3 September 2023 at the “Epirus Palace Congress & Spa Hotel”, Ioannina.
The poster session serves as an excellent platform for sharing innovative research, practical experiences, and thought-provoking projects.
About the Poster Session
The poster session aims to foster engaging discussions and networking opportunities in a visually stimulating environment. We welcome submissions on Neurosurgical topics. This is your chance to showcase your work, exchange ideas, and receive valuable feedback from your peers and fellow experts.
Submission Guidelines
Abstract Submission. Interested participants are invited to submit an abstract of their proposed poster presentation. The abstract should not exceed 300 words and must clearly outline the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
Submission Deadline. The deadline for abstract submissions is August, 28 2023.
Review Process. All submissions will undergo a rigorous review by our expert panel. The selection will be based on originality, relevance, and the potential to contribute to the conference's themes.
Poster Session Themes. Please consider submitting a proposal related to, but not limited to, the following themes:

Overview of the Activity: To provide a forum for undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate students and healthcare professionals to connect and talk about new research discoveries with other professionals in the field. Network with scientist from institutions and practices worldwide. Present the research performed from the program’s faculty and their areas of interest. Identifying possible research supervisors and mentors with comparable research interests.
Educational Objectives and Goals: To present the latest neurosurgical innovations and be inspired by speakers in the frame of preparation for the PhD program.
Audience: Undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate students, residents, neurosurgeons, healthcare professionals.
