I am a Researcher at the Institute for Mobility and Social Development (Imds) and a Lecturer at the EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (FGV EPGE).
My research agenda focuses on urban economics. Specifically, I work on the implications of urban accessibility and environmental resilience for economic growth and the welfare of city residents. I leverage big data and GIS applications to assess spatially disaggregated infrastructure effects.
Currently, my main projects are:
The Commuting Costs of High-Intensity Rains: Evidence from Rio de Janeiro
Urban Resilience to Weather: The Impacts of Rainstorms on Neonatal Health
My wider research agenda spans regional economics, development economics, and environmental economics.
