About Peace Hope, and Rats
I'm a fan of Star Trek, Once Upon A Time, Gargoyles, Dragonheart, and a few other things out there in the world. Chances are that I'm attached to characters more than shows.
Most of my current fics are for Once Upon A Time, but I used to write exclusively for Star Trek. I have some new Trek things posted or in the works, as well as some for Narnia, Dragonheart, and Stargate: Atlantis.

Works that you find in my masterlist are going to contain only a few things: I wallow in angst, I try to avoid smut and AU (with the exception of trying to fix Atlantis), and I generally write whatever fits between scenes or episodes.
At least, that was true up until January of 2021, when I designed my new Monthly Rumbelling series to push me to the very limits of what I am willing to write. Since that time I have occasionally dipped my toes into that gutter and have also embraced ways to skirt around my no AU rule. Alternate reality fics for Rumbelle still won't be true AU, but I've found a work around that is good enough to fit all of our needs.

Finally, my apologies to anyone reading this on a phone or tablet. This page was designed in Google Pages and meant for computer screens. This because the web isn't just html any more and I can't do the fancy stuff.

Summary: This was an assignment that I used OUAT for. Assignment: Pick a mother or father and write a description of their house from their point of view. Do it first when their daughter has married someone the parent hates, then do it again when the daughter has married someone the parent loves. I couldn't come up with any better parent/child relationship more suited to this task than Belle and Moe.
Excerpt: Standing on the walk, Moe stared at his home. It looked dark and empty and the bushes bordering the property seemed to be pushing him back, their long fingers twining into an impenetrable wall that warned him to stay away at all costs. There had been no physical change to the house itself in the time he had been gone and yet it felt as if someone had come and darkened the paint on every surface except the white railing, which seemed to sneer at him devilishly, daring him to step up so it could chomp down on him with pointed wooden teeth.

Excerpt: The explosion that lit the night sky reflected in the water below. Admittedly, it was less of an explosion and more of a quick flash, but the boy standing at the edge of the pond was no less excited by the miniature event than any adult would have been with a full fireworks display.
Roland clapped his hands, calling out, “More, Papa! More!” His eyes refused to move from the place where the previous arrow had fizzled out of existence.
Nocking another, Robin grinned over at Regina. “Ready, my love?”

Summary: Originally a collection of 12 Rumbelle flash fics written for Eilinelithil, and extended to 16 by repeated reuest. There is a winter theme here that will be revealed fairly quickly, but I'm not giving it away in the summary or this would be longer than the fics themselves! Also, as the chapters go along, this rating will change. You have been warned.
Excerpt: Belle stared out the window as the cold wind whipped the first snow of winter past the walls of the Dark Castle. The season was changing with a determination that most certainly marked the end of her walks in the garden. She held in a sigh as she gazed into the darkness beyond the glass panes, reluctantly accepting the inevitable. At least the coming of winter would mean spring could not be far behind and the flowers would be in bloom again.

Summary: Detective Weaver works for the Seattle P.D and lives with his son, Gideon. Together the two are slowly coming to terms with the loss of Belle, Weaver's wife and Gideon's mother. In therapy Weaver confesses to experiencing some strange sleeping patterns. He goes to bed at night and closes his eyes, but opens them to find himself in a different home... one he shares with Belle.
Mister Gold owns a pawn shop and lives with his wife, Belle. Together the two are slowly coming to terms with the loss of their son, Gideon. In therapy Gold confesses to experiencing some strange sleeping patterns. He goes to bed at night and closes his eyes, but opens them to find himself in a different home... one he shares with Gideon.
This story borrows the plot concept from the TV show Awake (staring Jason Isaacs) and adapts it to Once Upon a Time, but is NOT a crossover. (More on this in the notes.)
Excerpt: Weaver drummed his fingers on the side of his shoe while his foot bounced slightly on his knee. He instantly realized the action would be seen as a release of nerves, so he uncrossed the leg and moved his hands to the armrests of his chair instead, running his palms along their length as if testing the quality of the upholstery.
The woman sitting across from him looked up from her notepad with a neutral smile that meant nothing to him. “How have you been, Detective?”
He shrugged. “Fine.”

Summary: With the final battle won, everyone in Storybrooke is settling down into their same old routines, which means that life for some has become a little mundane. Knowing Rumple better than the other citizens do, David approaches him to assist in making a special gift for Snow: a sex room. Rumple and Belle help the Charmings and discretely gain a reputation as the go to couple for exploring sexual encounters.
Based on the Netflix show How To Build A Sex room. You will get more tags as the chapters come along.
Excerpt: When you were the husband of Snow White, trying to get around Storybrooke without being noticed was an impossibility. Every pair of eyes followed you wherever you went. That meant that trying to go somewhere in secret was damned near impossible. This was why David was up and dressed well before dawn and lingering in a back alley by Gold’s shop.
He checked his watch for the fifth time and grumbled to the man who couldn't hear him. "Come on, you don't need sleep. Why pick today of all days to show up on time?" As soon as he heard his own words, guilt washed over him. It was safe to assume that Rumple’s tardiness meant only one thing… the same thing that David was here to chat about.
"Don't you have Dwarves to do your spying for you?" Gold’s familiar voice hit him from behind and made him jump out of his skin. "Or that pesky blue gnat?"

My first fics were all from Star Trek, posted back in the 90's when fanfiction didn't have such a cool home as Archive Of Our Own. Those fics were mostly filler fics, taking the gaps between scenes and adding to them. I did have a few of my own works with original characters and ideas that took place in the Alternate Universe in the Deep Space Nine era, but I wasn't really a fan of writing my own work. A teacher once tried to send in some of my stories as scripts (back in the day when such things were allowed), but I asked her not to. Writing for me wasn't really about the fame and I knew I wouldn't be able to avoid attention if anything went to the show. I have actor friends and I get too much attention just sitting next to them at dinner or playing with their kids at the park. Staying hidden away is my cup of tea, so if I am going to a convention, I might not even tell you. We will pass each other in the night like two silent ships sailing by. That's me.
Since I was forced to join AO3 by a fan, most of what I have posted has been Once Upon A Time. My first fics there were the same as above. I never really left the safety of filling in those gaps between scenes and Once left a LOT of gaps. I came into the Once writing community right as the 2020 TEAs were coming along and was thrust headfirst into a community that I barely knew. By the time the first NaNoWriMo camp came around that year, I was happily ensconced and had fallen deeply for this wonderful community.
