Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw (UKSW) was founded on September, 1999. The University replaced the former Academy of Catholic Theology (1954-1999). Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University is a public university with 95 academic fields (10 faculties), over 11.000 students, 800 teachers and 350 administrative staff.
Students can enrol full-time and part-time, in both postgraduate (master’s) and undergraduate (bachelor’s) programs. UKSW also offers professional qualifications in postgraduate and doctoral programs.
The University supports multi-disciplinary research activities between various scientific fields. In particular:
Promotion and protection of human health through cooperation between medicine and other disciplines at the UKSW,

The Institute of Philosophy (IF) was established in 1999. Its foundation coincided with the reorganization of the Department of Christian Philosophy (WFCh) at the Catholic Academy in Warsaw (ATK), which was transformed into the Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University (UKSW).
At the Institute of Philosophy we offer bachelor’s and master’s programs in philosophy and cognitive sciences, as well as a PhD degree in philosophy.

The Department of Philosophy of Nature (KFP) at the Institute of Philosophy, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UKSW) continues the tradition of scientific research conducted since the establishment of the Academy of Catholic Theology in Warsaw (ATK) in 1954 as part of the philosophy of nature specialization, and later the Philosophy of Nature Section.
The KFP conducts scientific research in the field of philosophy of nature and philosophy of natural science, as well as eco-philosophy and the relationship between natural sciences and theology.
KFP members and associates carry out joint and individual research projects, hold regular scientific meetings, organize and participate in scientific conferences, prepare publications presenting the results of their research, undertake scientific cooperation with representatives of other scientific centers in Poland and abroad, participate in the activities of scientific organizations and societies, and conduct popularization and educational activities. In addition, they have lectures on courses of philosophy , cognitive science , psychology, environmental protection, and in the Doctoral School.
