The Pittsburgh Worm Club is a monthly seminar series that brings together the regional Caenorhabditis elegans research community. Our goal is to connect researchers across the Pittsburgh area, foster collaboration, and provide a forum for sharing new discoveries, ongoing work, and technical advances.
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month and alternate between invited seminars by external speakers and Works in Progress presentations from local laboratories. The series welcomes participation from undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, research staff, principal investigators, and anyone interested in C. elegans biology.
Whether you are new to the field or an established investigator, the Pittsburgh Worm Club provides an opportunity to learn about current research, exchange ideas, and build connections within the local scientific community.
When: First Thursday of each month, 9:30–11:30 AM
Format: Alternating invited seminars and Works in Progress presentations
Location: Rangos Research Center, UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Room 9109
Hybrid: Selected meetings may also be available via Zoom.
