This course applies economic concepts and tools to environmental issues, particularly pollution problems. It explores fundamental research issues in environmental economics: the causes of environmental degradation, policy design for improvement, and measuring costs and benefits of environmental policies. Through economic analysis, students will understand environmental impacts of human actions and how individual incentives can improve environmental quality.
