Cybersecurity is concerned with protecting digital assets, including data, software, systems, and communication networks, from unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, disruption, and cyberattacks. As the adoption of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) continues to expand across sectors, the frequency and sophistication of cyber threats is increasing. Consequently, robust cybersecurity measures have become essential to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information while minimizing security risks and protecting critical digital infrastructure.

This six-month QIP Certification Program in Cybersecurity is designed to equip faculty members with contemporary knowledge and practical skills in cybersecurity, enabling them to enhance their expertise and effectively safeguard digital assets. The program will help participants stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, adopt best security practices, and strengthen their teaching, research, and professional capabilities in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.

About the Institute

Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara (IIITV), established in 2013 under a Public-Private Partnership, is an Institute of National Importance. It aims to develop top-tier IT professionals and drive innovation across various domains. IIITV also expanded with a satellite campus at Education Hub, Kevdi – Diu, in 2020 in collaboration with the Government of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. 

Program Objectives

After completing this PG Certificate Program, participants will gain practical knowledge of information and cybersecurity trends, understand current security threats and tools, and develop essential skills to protect their assets.

Course Contents

The curriculum consists of five key modules:

• CS Core 1: Programming for Cybersecurity

• Domain Core: Cybersecurity Essentials

• CS Core 2: Cybersecurity Datasets and Analytics

• Domain Specialized: Cyber Tracks: Web, Forensics, & Cyber Laws

• Project and Hands-on Security Tools

Eligibility Criteria

• Full time Regular / Permanent faculty members of AICTE approved institutes can apply.

• The programme wise eligibility is decided based on the department a faculty members serving or the course in which the faculty member is graduated/ post graduated. Please see Annexure I for the details.

• Faculty members of computer science & allied subjects, applied science, computer application and Management disciplines are also eligible to apply as per programmes listed in Annexure I (Link).

• Minimum 3 years teaching experience at graduate/diploma level from AICTE approved institution.

• In addition to the above minimum eligibility, criteria of respective host institution shall be applicable
