50 Years of Leading with Love
For fifty years, PFLAG has been where LGBTQ+ people, families and allies have come together, driven by love, in pursuit of justice and affirmation.
Since our earliest days, PFLAG has been the connection for LGBTQ+ people with community, parents with resources, and allies with tools.
PFLAG’s Role in the LGBTQ+ Movement: PFLAG is the connective tissue that bolsters the LGBTQ+ movement with strength, power, and love.
Defining Love and Leading with Love: Love is what brings people to PFLAG. It urges and inspires us, empowers us, and rouses our courage. In every sense, PFLAG is always leading with love.
The love that drives people to PFLAG and urges our every action is a courageous love. It is a love that moves us to action and that drives us to persist, even—and especially—when the path before us is difficult. It is a love that mourns and seeks comfort. It is a love that uplifts, empowers, and celebrates. This affirming, expansive love grows and learns, gets angry and sets boundaries. And yes, PFLAG love is a love that hugs, too.Our love is louder!
