Knowledge Session for PEZA Registered Business Enterprises (RBEs) on the New Regulatory Landscape
In response to recent regulatory developments affecting the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and its Registered Business Enterprises (RBEs), the PEZA Enterprise Services Division (ESD) conducted a comprehensive in-person seminar on August 13, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Canon Business Machines Philippines, Inc. (CBMP) Meeting & Training Room, Lot 4, Phase 1B, First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP), Tanauan City, Batangas.
The session was attended by one hundred sixty-eight (168) RBEs from various zones, including First Philippine Industrial Park-SEZ (FPIP-SEZ), First Industrial Township (FIT), Light Industry & Science Park III and IV-SEZs (LISPIII and IV-SEZs), as well as AG&P, CAIP, Tabangao-SEZs, and Batangas Shipyard.
This full-day seminar aimed to promote awareness and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. Key topics included: (1) Salient Provisions of RA 12066, or the Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises to Maximize Opportunities for Reinvigorating the Economy (CREATE MORE) Act, as applicable to PEZA RBEs, (2) PEZA The One Portal System (PTOPS): Project Evaluation and Registration, Business Enterprise Management System (BERMS), and Electronic Certificate of Authority to Import (eCAI), (3) Income and Non-Income Tax Incentives, VAT and CETI Issuance, and (4) Compliance Monitoring and Data Management Systems: Annual Compliance Management System (ACMS), Company Profile Information System (CPIS), Economic Zone Monthly Performance Report (EZMPR), and Fiscal Incentives Registration and Monitoring System (FIRMS).
Overall, the seminar was designed to equip PEZA RBEs with a clear understanding of the implications of new legislation and digital systems, while providing guidance on navigating updated compliance protocols and incentive structures.

Training Session on "Update on the Regulations of Controlled Chemicals Under the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the Republic Act (RA) no. 9516" by the Philippine National Police (PNP)
In line with PEZA's continuous efforts to capacitate our valued locators/RBEs with critical regulatory knowledge, PEZA LISP III and IV Special Economic Zone Offices facilitated a comprehensive session regarding PNP Permits, Rules and Regulations, which are critical related to controlled chemicals regulated by PNP. The session was organized through the efforts of Kowa Emori Phils. Inc., one of locators in LISP III-SEZ, in collaboration with PNP-Camp Crame, coordinated by the LISP III Admin Office, facilitated by PEZA LISP III and IV-SEZs personnel, and spearheaded by AZM Nestor D. Santiaguel Jr. It was successfully conducted on 23 June 2025, from 01:00 PM to 05:00 PM at the Multi-Purpose Hall, LISP III Admin Bldg., Sto. Tomas City, Batangas. The resource speakers were from Explosives Management Division - Firearms and Explosives Office (EMD-FEO), PNP Camp Crame, headed by PCpt. Arturo D. Garingan, the EMD-FEO's Multiagency Coordinator and PCMS Maria Zha-Zha C. Bio, the Chemical Sub-Specialist. The session emphasized the stringent compliance requirements related to the list of controlled chemicals under PNP's regulatory jurisdiction. Attended by a total of forty-nine (49) participants from valued locators of LISP III, LISP IV, FPIP, LTI and FCIE-SEZs. This initiative underscores PEZA's commitment for the continual delivery and strategic coordination of targeted training programs, in close collaboration with pertinent regulatory government agencies, designed to enhance the operational competencies and regulatory compliance of our valued locators/RBEs.
Industrial Walkthrough Program
To familiarize with the operations of PEZA-Registered Business Enterprises in LISP III-SEZ, the PEZA Zone Office in LISP III, under the leadership and initiative of Acting Zone Manager, Mr. Nestor D. Santiaguel Jr., along with his PEZA staff, Ms. Mary Joyce A. Mendoza, Ms. Aira Vyra V. Lindo, and Ms. Baby Genesis M. Liwag, has conducted the 'Industrial Walk-through Program' every Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
As a background, this initiative aims to conduct walk-through inspections and observe the project activities stipulated in the PEZA Registration and Supplemental Agreement of our beloved locators. It also seeks to acquire knowledge for a better understanding of the operational procedures and systems, including workstations, production lines, machinery and equipment, and warehouse areas to see and be familiarized with the raw materials and finished goods for easy reference in evaluation and approval of the day-to-day transactions of manual and electronic permits for the movement of goods.
The program has been successfully conducted, thanks to the cooperation, support, and warm accommodation of the valued Locators in LISP III-SEZ. In this regard, we would like to express our immense gratitude to everyone.
NATIONAL FLAG DAY ACTIVITY
In observance of National Flag Day, the Park Administration held a flag-raising activity on May 28, 2025, at 8:00 AM at the LISP III Park Administration Frontage, in collaboration with PEZA and the Admin Building tenants.
This activity aimed to honor and promote respect for the Philippine national flag, a powerful symbol of unity, freedom, and pride for the Filipino people.
Soft Launching of Tenaga Pack Solution Inc. (TPSI) at LISPIII-SEZ
On February 12, 2025, Tenaga Pack Solution Inc. (TPSI), a PEZA-registered Ecozone Export Enterprise, embarked on an exciting new journey with the announcement of its soft launch at the Light Industry & Science Park III-Special Economic Zone (LISPIII-SEZ). The event was attended by TPSI’s Malaysian owners and key representatives, including President Mr. Jimmy Ong and his wife, Chief Financial Officer Ms. Jean Ong, General Manager Mr. David Lai, Director Mr. Raymond Kang, Marketing Head Ms. Virginia Tan, and Finance Director Ms. Lydia So. Also present were representatives from PEZA LISP III and the Office of the Building Official (OBO), led by ZM Engr. Dominador A. Zagada Jr. and AZM Nestor D. Santiaguel Jr., along with their staff members: Engr. Kenneth Chester S. Paraguison, Ms. Mary Joyce A. Mendoza, Ms. Aira Vyra V. Lindo, Ms. Baby Genesis M. Liwag, and Ms. Maricar V. Tipay. Additionally, representatives from the Science Park Administrative, including Assistant Vice President Mr. Aldrien Ferlindo L. Montalban and Senior Manager Mr. Rolly A. Tallod, were also in attendance, along with guests from various respected companies. All gathered to witness the unveiling of TPSI’s innovative services in the paper and paper products industry.
The soft launch provided an exclusive opportunity for distinguished guests to experience what the company has to offer. The event featured a video presentation highlighting the origins and journey of TPSI’s operations in the Philippines, as well as a lively performance by TPSI employees, showcasing Filipino culture through a traditional Tinikling dance and a song performance by one of the company’s talented staff members, who sang a popular Chinese Mandarin song from the 1970s—one of Mr. and Mrs. Ong’s favorite songs.
TPSI representatives shared inspiring messages, expressing their commitment to excellence and their excitement about building lasting relationships within the industry. The enthusiasm and positive feedback from the guests were truly overwhelming, marking a momentous occasion that set the stage for the full launch of TPSI’s operations within the zone.

Orientation on PEZA Rules and Regulations for Zone Processes and Other Concerns
In line with PEZA’s continuous efforts to provide regular trainings and orientations, which is essential to our valued locators, and to impart the Rules and Regulations for Zone processes as guidance in their daily transactions with PEZA Zone Offices in Light Industry & Science Park III and IV, as well as First Industrial Township, the zone offices organized a face-to-face orientation for our locators.
Through the efforts and collaboration of Acting Zone Manager Mr. Nestor D. Santiaguel Jr. and Zone Manager Engr. Dominador A. Zagada Jr., the orientation was successfully held on September 5, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lobby Area of the Admin Building, LISP III-SEZ, Sto. Tomas City, Batangas.
The event was well-attended, with over sixty-six (66) representatives from our valued locators, and featured special participation from the Bureau of Customs (BOC), led by Ms. Eloisa P. Suarez, together with LISP III Science Park Administration Senior Manager, Mr. Rolly A. Tallod.
