PLN/PLE

The term personal learning environment (PLE) describes the tools, communities, and services that constitute the individual educational platforms that learners use to direct their own learning and pursue educational goals. PLE's are used as a modern day library or textbook. Instead of students using a library or textbook, these students will have a PLE where they can click on different links to find different information that will be used in the classroom.

A professional learning network (PLN) is a tool that uses social media and technology to collect, communicate, collaborate and create with connected colleagues anywhere at any time. Participating educators, worldwide, make requests and share resources.
