Hey! I'm Peyton (she/her) and I'm entering my final year at SCAD as a Interactive Design/Game Development student.
My primary discipline is Narrative Design, fusing skills like writing dialogue and world-building with level and puzzle design. Combined with my studies from my classes, and I have experience in Unreal Blueprinting, Maya, Photoshop, Miro, Excel, and more.
When I'm not developing games, I'm playing them, whether alone or with friends. JRPGs, platforms, kart racers, you name it. I enjoy writing and reading, along with a growing passion in trading cards. I'm also the Vice President of the Women and Queer Voices in Games club at SCAD!
My Most Recent Projects
Over the course of last year, I was the Narrative Lead for Overgrown, the 2.5D Action RPG created by both ANIM and GAME students. We took the game from idea to Steam demo in the span of 3 quarters, and we were a finalist in The Rookies!
"You play as Lily, an aspiring botanist who’s trying to find her father, encountering newly sentient friends and foes throughout her journey. Along the way, she uncovers why her father returned to the museum, and what is bringing all the exhibits to life."
As my GAME 356 project, I teamed up with Greta Thomas, Olivia Gibbons, Brooke Phillips, and Keagan Settle to make a game where you play as the Blisterbug, attempting to maneuver through an underground base and sneak past guards who have just destroyed your home and taken your food source. Maybe you'll get some revenge on the way.
I took on the role as Level Designer for the project. Some of my tasks were crafting the high concept route of the level, and making the entire target range section.
