If you want a durable, versatile set of clamp screws to secure your brake and throttle cables with confidence, choose PETSOLA 2x30x; if you need a complete, direct-replacement rear brake master cylinder to restore firm stopping power on a specific Honda model, choose ArtanHome Rear Brake Master.
• PETSOLA 2x30x: Strength lies in its solid steel construction and rust-resistant design for long-term cable management; trade-off is that it is an accessory component, not a primary braking unit. Best for riders who need reliable hardware to maintain existing systems or upgrade cable anchoring points.
• ArtanHome Rear Brake Master: Strength is its precise fitment for Honda models (43510-HN1-016/006) and ability to restore factory-level braking performance; trade-off is its strict compatibility requirements and the need for professional installation and bleeding. Best for Honda owners facing total master cylinder failure or fluid leaks.
• The Verdict: The choice isn't about which is "better" overall, but which problem you are solving: securing cables or replacing a failed hydraulic pump.
This product is designed for the rider who understands that safety often comes down to the small details. The PETSOLA 2x30x is a brake cable regulator clamp kit, sold as a three-piece set, intended to anchor and adjust your brake lines securely. It isn't a replacement for a whole system, but rather a critical piece of hardware that keeps your cables from slipping or loosening over time. If you ride a motorcycle where the throttle or choke cables need regular adjustment, or if your current clamps feel loose, this kit offers a robust solution.
What stands out most about this item is the material quality. It is manufactured from steel, which gives it the necessary rigidity to hold tension without deforming under stress. The surface is smooth and free of burrs, a detail that matters because rough edges can wear down cable housing or cause difficulty during installation. Furthermore, the threads are deep and distributed evenly, which helps spread the clamping force uniformly. This reduces the risk of the screw stripping or slipping, ensuring that once you tighten it, it stays put.
The inclusion of nuts and washers in the package means you have everything needed to make a secure connection right out of the box. Its resistance to rust and oxidation is another key factor, especially for riders who live in humid climates or take their bikes out in all weather conditions. You don't want a clamp that corrodes away after a season of use. This is the ideal pick for anyone looking to extend the service life of their brake line adjustments or replace worn-out hardware with something that feels substantial and built to last. However, if you are looking for a part that actually generates hydraulic pressure, this is not the right tool for the job.

On the other end of the spectrum is the ArtanHome Rear Brake Master Cylinder. This is a heavy-duty, functional component designed to replace a failed or leaking master cylinder entirely. It is engineered specifically for Honda motorcycles, matching part numbers 43510-HN1-016 and 43510-HN1-006. If your rear brake pedal feels spongy, the lever sinks to the floor, or you see fluid leaking near the rear reservoir, this unit is the direct replacement you need to get back on the road safely.
The primary value here is restoration of performance. A failing master cylinder compromises your ability to stop quickly, which is a non-negotiable safety requirement. This unit aims to bring that firm, reliable braking feel back to your machine. Because it is a direct replacement, the design focuses on seamless integration with your existing Honda model. It eliminates the guesswork of finding a compatible part by providing exact cross-reference numbers that match the original equipment manufacturer specifications.
Installation is straightforward for those with mechanical experience, though it does require proper procedure. The product includes one rear brake master cylinder, but it also comes with a critical warning: you must bleed the brake system using fresh fluid after installation. Skipping this step will result in air pockets that render the brakes useless. It is also recommended to test the brakes at low speeds before riding at full capacity. This product is strictly for Honda owners who know their model year and VIN match the compatibility list. If your bike requires a different part number, this unit will not fit, making it essential to verify your original part number before purchasing.
• Best for restoring hydraulic function → ArtanHome Rear Brake Master: If your brake system has lost pressure or is leaking fluid, you need a master cylinder, not a clamp.
• Best for securing cable adjustments → PETSOLA 2x30x: If your brake lines are loose or your current anchors are stripped, this clamp kit solves the mechanical issue.
• Best for durability against elements → PETSOLA 2x30x: The steel construction and oxidation resistance make it superior for long-term exposure to rain and road grime.
• Best for specific vehicle compatibility → ArtanHome Rear Brake Master: It is engineered for a narrow range of Honda models, offering a precision fit that generic parts cannot match.
• Best for ease of maintenance → PETSOLA 2x30x: These clamps allow for quick, manual adjustments of cable tension without needing to open the hydraulic system.
• Best for safety-critical system overhaul → ArtanHome Rear Brake Master: Replacing the master cylinder addresses the core of the braking system's ability to generate force.
• Best for family road trips (hardware prep) → PETSOLA 2x30x: Carrying these clamps allows you to fix minor cable issues on the side of the road before they become dangerous.
• Best for family road trips (system integrity) → ArtanHome Rear Brake Master: Ensuring the master cylinder is brand new prevents catastrophic brake failure during long-distance travel.
For my own needs, particularly when planning a family road trip, I would prioritize the ArtanHome Rear Brake Master if there is any sign of hydraulic failure. There is no room for compromise when it comes to the primary braking mechanism; a spongy pedal is a dealbreaker for long-distance travel. However, if the hydraulic system is sound and I simply want to ensure my cable adjustments are tight and corrosion-free before hitting the highway, I would grab the PETSOLA 2x30x. In my opinion, the PETSOLA kit is the better everyday maintenance item because it handles the routine wear and tear that often gets overlooked, whereas the ArtanHome unit is a repair part for when things go wrong. Both serve vital roles, but they solve completely different problems.
It is designed for a wide range of uses including brake lines, motorcycle brakes, and locks, but you should verify that the mounting hole size matches your specific cable setup before buying.
You must replace the old unit, then bleed the brake system with fresh fluid and test the brakes at low speed to ensure there are no air bubbles before riding normally.
Yes, the package includes the regulator clamp, locking screws, nuts, and washers, so you have all the components needed to secure the brake lines immediately.
No, this unit is specifically engineered for Honda models with part numbers 43510-HN1-016 and 43510-HN1-006; checking your VIN or original part number is mandatory for fitment.
