A peaceful Advent season, a joyful Christmas surrounded by loved ones, and peace, health, and happiness in the New Year. 

Klidný čas Adventu, radostné Vánoce ve společnosti blízkých a mír, zdraví a štěstí v Novém roce. 

From January 29 to February 1, I had the opportunity to participate in a photo safari with my colleagues from the Club of Czech Nature Photographers (KFP) in the Židlov game reserve, which is managed by the Mimoň division of the Military Forests and Estates of the Czech Republic. Under the previous regime, the area was used as a tank firing range. The game reserve is known primarily for breeding European bison, other animals bred also include fallow deer, European red deer, mouflons and wild boars. During this short time, I managed to photograph deer and mouflons. Unfortunately, the bison were not to be found. The accommodation is very comfortable and cozy, including a well-equipped kitchen. The hunting guide was very pleasant and helped us with orientation in the game reserve. I would definitely like to return there again.  

Od 29 ledna do 1 února jsem měl možnost se zúčastnit spolu s kolegy z Klubu českých fotografů přírody (KFP) foto safari v oboře Židlov, která je spravována divizí Mimoň Vojenských lesů a statků ČR. Za minulého režimu byl prostor využíván jako tanková

střelnice. Obora je známá především chovem zubra evropského, mezi další chovaná zvířata patří také daňci, jeleni evropští, mufloni a divočáci. Během této krátké doby se mi podařilo fotografovat jeleny a muflony. Bohužel zubři nebyli k nalezení. Ubytování je velmi pohodlné a útulné včetně dobře vybavené kuchyňky. Lovecký průvodce byl velmi příjemný a pomohl

nám s orientací v oboře. Určitě se tam rád znovu vrátím.
