Hi, my name is Petronella. I am based in Borneo.

I have always loved looking at paintings. Deep inside my heart, there was always a wish to try painting myself  even though I felt I had no skill for it. I love the styles of Post-Impressionism and Abstract art.

My journey started when I joined the Solo Exhibition KESUMA. Originally, I joined just because I wanted to experience how it would feel. To be honest, I had no confidence that my art looked good. I simply painted by following what my heart wanted to do.

I didn't expect much to come from it. After the exhibition ended, I went to collect my artwork. Suddenly, the staff told me that two of my paintings had been sold. I was shocked — I never thought or expected that people would want to buy them.

From that moment, I felt inspired to paint more to keep creating something new, and to bring something meaningful into this world.
