Dolly

Dolly, an Aussie  (Australian Shepard) was born in April of 2017. In her early years, Dolly worked as a trail dog and competed in agility trials. In her later years, Dolly entered the world of Animal Assisted Interventions, participating in OT, PT, and recreational therapy.  In all actually, this girl just loves being the center of attention.

Ms. Domino

Ms. Domino

Ms. Domino Vobiscum Bunsun is a happy bunny who runs around when any of her family members come home all excited to be picked up.  Her given name is Marie- Sophie Germain, a polymath whose  pioneer contributions to Elasticity theory were monumental.   She loves to be held and when put down will immediately periscope back up  to be held again.

Ms. Domino, like  her father, likes to hear classic music and  in particular Opera.  If it is being viewed on the television she will sit by and watch it.  Turn it off and she will just wait then leave.  Put it on again and she will  return.

Early in her life, Ms. Domino started  to visit  sick children at hospitals and,  most recently, college students for exams to help destress them.  She is pictured in the newspaper article about the program with PPA and Dupre Library.   She and her sisters were  asked to raise awareness of children eating more vegetables and greens at Easter.  They turned the idea of sitting on the Easter Bunny's lap to take pictures inside out.  These chocolate Easter  Bunnies would sit on the childrens' laps to take pictures.  Taking rides and walking on the Lakefront is good, but what Ms. Bunny really likes to accomplish, like her brothers do, is to climb up the big oak trees.

Ginger and Joslyn (owner/handler)

Ginger

Ginger, a Miniature Poodle and Cocker Spaniel Mix was born in Summer 2021 and became a registered therapy animal with Pet Partners in Fall 2022. Ginger also  earned the AKC Canine Good Citizen award and Tricks title in 2022. Ginger’s handler is Joslyn.

Ginger enjoys volunteering at various children’s programs. She especially loves the Read With Me programs held at local libraries and schools. During her free time, Ginger enjoys chasing pickleballs, playing tug, wrestling with her younger canine sister, and snuggling with her three human siblings and parents.

Joy Belle and Ashley (owner/handler)

Joy Belle

Joy Belle is a 2-year-old Havanese from New Iberia, Louisiana who successfully completed all behavior training classes, including becoming a Canine Good Citizen.  She loves people of all ages and enjoys being petted and having belly rubs.  Joy Belle became a therapy dog in June of 2021. She is looking forward to bringing "joy" to others as she volunteers.  After all, her name Joy Belle stands for Jesus Overflowing in You.

When Joy Belle is not training or practicing, she enjoys chasing squirrels, riding in the car, going on walks in the park, and playing with her younger Havanese brothers, Jefferson and Jackson.  Joy Belle also loves to share with her brothers when special “doggie” packages arrive at the door.
