PetPal (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

PetPal is designed with privacy at its core. All AI conversations run entirely on your device using a local language model. We do not transmit your chat messages, pet preferences, or any personal data to external servers.

- **Chat Data** – Your messages and conversation history are stored locally on your device using Apple’s Core Data framework. They never leave your device.

- **Purchase Data** – If you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information.

- **Device Information** – We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or analytics data.

## 2. How We Use Your Information

The locally stored data is used solely to:

- Provide and improve the in-app chat experience with your virtual pets.

- Remember your conversation history so your pet can recall past interactions.

- Restore your purchase status via Apple’s StoreKit framework.

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with any third parties. Since all processing happens on-device, there is no data to share.

## 4. Data Retention and Deletion

Your chat history and pet data remain on your device until you choose to delete them. You can clear all chat history at any time from within the App. Uninstalling the App will permanently remove all locally stored data.

PetPal is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since no data is transmitted off-device, there is no risk of unauthorized data collection.

The App uses Apple’s StoreKit for in-app purchases. Apple’s own privacy policy governs how Apple handles purchase-related data. No other third-party SDKs or analytics services are integrated.
