The Navy Blue color on the department logo is inspired by the United States Treasury logo, which is a popular symbol for a treasury in North America. The Pyramid at the top is a money pyramid, which is a common shape to represent money and currency. The two stars accompanying the money pyramid are simply to make it look less empty, there is not any meaning behind either. Bellow there is an abacus, which is also a popular symbol for counting money in ancient times. Fun fact, it was almost a shield and Key, but it was changed. Finally, the "â‚˝" is the "$" equivalent for Petite Dollars. It looks very similar to the Russian Ruble Symbol, basically the same.
