Welcome to Petflixie ("we," "us," or "our"). Your privacy is very important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you
use our mobile application (the "App"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Device Information:
When you use our App, we collect your device identifier (vendor ID), device model, operating system version, app version, language, timezone, and country.
Pet Photos:
If you upload pet photos, these images are processed by a third-party AI service to generate stylized pet portraits. See Section 4 for details on how this data is shared.
Usage Data:
We automatically collect information about how you interact with the App, including screen views, feature usage, session data, and analytics events.
Purchase Data:
If you make a purchase (subscription or credit pack), we collect transaction details including product ID, purchase date, and transaction identifiers. Payment processing is handled
by Apple through the App Store.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App.
- Generate AI-styled pet portraits from your uploaded photos.
- Process subscriptions and in-app purchases.
- Improve your experience by analyzing usage patterns.
- Monitor app stability and fix crashes.
- Measure advertising effectiveness.
4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
We use the following third-party services:
AI Image Generation (Fal.ai):
When you create a pet portrait, your pet photos and a text prompt are sent to Fal.ai (https://fal.ai) for AI image processing. Only the photo data and prompt are shared — no user
identifiers, names, or personal information are sent to Fal.ai. Images are processed in real-time and are not retained by Fal.ai after generation.
Subscription Management (RevenueCat):
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat receives your device identifier and purchase information.
Analytics and Attribution (Meta/Facebook, TikTok):
We use Meta (Facebook) SDK and TikTok SDK for analytics and advertising attribution. These services may receive your device identifier (subject to your App Tracking Transparency
choice), purchase events, and app usage data. You can opt out of tracking by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Error Monitoring (Sentry):
We use Sentry to monitor app crashes and errors. Sentry receives crash reports, stack traces, and device information. No personal data or photos are sent to Sentry.
Backend Server:
Your device information, usage data, and generated image URLs are stored on our secure backend server hosted in Germany (Hetzner).
5. Data Security
We implement a variety of security measures to protect your data, including API key authentication, HTTPS encryption, and secure server infrastructure. Although we strive to use
commercially acceptable means to safeguard your data, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide our services. Pet photos remain on your device and are only sent to Fal.ai temporarily during image generation. Generated
images are stored as URL references on our server.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
8. Children's Privacy
Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with
personal data, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
Third-Party AI Processing
We use Fal.ai, a third-party AI service, to generate pet portraits. When
you create a portrait, your uploaded photos and selected style are sent
to Fal.ai for processing. Fal.ai processes this data solely for image
generation and does not retain your photos after processing is complete.
