I've been hearing about the end of TV ads since I first set foot in the industry. The landscape is definitely changing, but the power of strong storytelling will always find a way to reach an audience. That said, great TV or AV doesn't have to be big budget to have impact or build a brand.
Energy Made Wonderful was a wonderful platform created by David Thomason. For part 2 of the campaign we wanted to show Mercury's passion for EV's. We did that by breathing new EV life into an old classic car. We did it for real which meant we could use Evie in the TV campaign and as a brand ambassador in real life.
The pitch for NZ Transport Agency (Wakakotahi) Road to Zero launch was the first pitch I ran as co leader of the FCB creative department. Before we launched road to zero we wanted New Zealanders to reflect on just how weird it is that we pay a toll in human lives to use our roads .
I didn''t invent PAK'nSAVES stickman campaign. It was created by Billy McQueen & Chris Schofeild. BUT. They were inspired by my bestselling Stickman book (see my book section). A couple of years later I came to FCB and then spent the next 12 years overseeing the rise of NZ's favourite low cost supermarket TV star. Funny how things work out.
I didn't say that. Kantar did. I worked on Mitre 10 for 12 years and what I love most about the launch of this new platform is that we were able to intergrate our two main characters, Pete & Grant into the retail layers of the brand. Link to Kantar below incase you dont believe me :)
Do you know your car's saftey rating? You might be suprised.
To relaunch the iconic 4Square brand on tv we wanted to create a story would become a crowd favourite. It did.
A simple campaign my partner Leisa and I created for THE MOST POPULAR GROCERY BRAND IN THE LAND.
The result of a great co-creation session with our media team. 'What if we bought the whole ad break and turned it into a safety lesson?'
Put this here because I like it.
When 'the competition' cut some of their flights Air New Zealand let us create a cheeky bit of content.
