I am a macro-financial economist studying how housing markets, leverage, and financial frictions interact to shape business cycle dynamics. My research combines DSGE modelling, mortgage contract theory, and institutional economics, to show how legal frameworks—particularly the degree of mortgage recourse—affect default behavior, credit allocation, and macroeconomic stability.
I am completing my Ph.D. in Macroeconomics at the University of Hamburg and hold an M.Sc. in Specialized Economic Analysis (Macroeconomic Policy and Financial Markets) from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management from the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg.
My teaching experience ranges from undergraduate macroeconomics to foundation-program courses in economics and mathematics, where I emphasize intuition, analytical structure, and the economic logic behind every result.
