Peter King

I am a Research Fellow (Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds) working on the INFUZE project. If you live and work in Leeds, please get involved and share your thoughts on what it means to live in a city where you don't need to own a car -> here.

Prior to this role, I was a postdoc on the DRUID project. My work covered (a) the value of pest regulation provided by natural enemy species i.e., here, and (b) monetary and non-monetary valuation of cultural ecosystem services provided by insects. I have also worked on the ERC-funded RELATE project investigating preferences for woodland biodiversity at the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology, University of Kent (2021 - 23). I completed my PhD in Economics at the University of Bath (2018 - 21). 

My research is about choices. I am interested in the design and analysis of survey methods, in particular, choice modelling, and causal methods. I also work in economic valuation. I am also Fellow of Advance HE, previously Associate Fellow, and I have experience in the design/delivery/assessment of UG/PG learners with supervision experience of PGT/PhD students. My teaching uses narrative pedagogy and problem-based learning.
