I wanted to play a lot with color and divert the expectations of the traditional costumes. For each player I wanted them to lean into the color/character that they have been assigned. After committing their murder (from the final ending) they change some parts of their outfit to a different color as they are now "showing their true colors". Each design 'card' has the way the character might write their name.

With Mustard I always wanted to lean into the vibe of just a normal dude who is too tied to his military days. That's why he's in a normal looking suit with the addition of his Medals.

Mrs. Peacock is very much a devoted wife so I wanted to lean into the house wife type look for her.

Plum is a very bold character from the start and quite abrasive. I wanted to set that off with a softer look. He is very flirtatious and that softer look helps set off his appearance and makes him more approachable.

Scarlet is one who has the most iconic typical look with the slim fitting red dress. I wanted to play with how she could be scandalous without that traditional look. I did research and women were starting to wear pants back in the 40s. So making everything very bold and flowy mixed with the pants helps bring to life her character.

Wadsworth and Body I wanted to make very contrasting, since they are from very different classes. Wadsworth is very much dressed like a traditional butler but his clothes are clearly more expensive than bodies.

Body has a fairly simple design but he has all of the player character colors on his tie and in his look. He's something that starts this evening off to a bad start and connects the players together.

I wanted to lean a bit into the gay part of Mr. Green and let him dress a little more flamboyantly. His vest can be more complicated and patterned since the FBI agent doesn't go out of character until he's arresting everyone.

Ms. White is typically seen as the ever mourning wife. Dressed all in morning clothing. I wanted to lean into the perpetual bride of her character. She is going through men like tissues and so is probably already on the look out for her next victim.
