Extreme caution is always used when trimming a dog's toenails. Please understand that regardless of how careful the groomer is, the blood vessel inside the toenail called the "quick" can be easy to accidentally clip into, especially on wiggly dogs or on dogs with opaque toenails. When this occurs, the dog will experience minor bleeding, which will quickly and safely be stopped by applying styptic powder.

In the rare case that the groomer decides the nail trim is not safe to be completed due to the dog's behavior, the entire amount of the nail trim will still be owed to accommodate travel expenses and time spent.
