PesoTrack: Student Expense Track (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a mobile application built using MIT App Inventor, designed to help students track daily expenses and allowances. It is a standalone, educational, non-commercial application. This Privacy Policy is compliant with the Google Play Store developer requirements.
This Privacy Policy explains how PesoTrack collects, uses, stores, and protects user information. By downloading, installing, or using PesoTrack, you agree to the terms described in this policy.
Because PesoTrack is built to run entirely locally on the user's device, we prioritize user privacy.
We do not collect any personal information. You are not required to provide your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personally identifiable data to use the PesoTrack application.
PesoTrack is designed for users to enter daily financial data. This data includes:
Transaction Types: Income (allowance) and Expenses.
Categories: Student-specific categories such as Food & Snacks, School & Projects, Transportation, etc.
Transaction Details: Item title, amount, date, and personal notes.
This financial data remains on your device. It is stored only locally using the application's implementation of the TinyDB storage mechanism. We cannot see, access, retrieve, or transmit any of your financial records to external servers.
We do not collect device identifiers (such as IMEI or advertising IDs) or use any crash reporting or analytics tools. The application functions completely anonymously.
All financial data you enter is used solely for the internal logic of the app (calculating balance, displaying charts, generating reports).
No Data Transmission: PesoTrack has no internet connection or network capability built-in to transmit your data to any external server or service.
Persistent local storage (TinyDB): Your data is saved locally on your device in the private application space. This data persists even when the app is closed.
As a user of PesoTrack, you have complete control over your data:
Transaction Deletion: Users can delete individual transactions directly from the transaction list. All deletions include a mandatory confirmation dialog to prevent accidental data loss.
Bulk Reset: The "Reset All" button in the app's setting screen allows you to securely erase the entire TinyDB database and all stored financial history from your device instantly.
Application Uninstallation: Uninstalling the PesoTrack application will automatically delete all stored local data, including the TinyDB file associated with the app.
The "Export Data" button in the setting screen summarizes your transaction history locally on your device. It can calculate a summary and total of all expenses.
This function allows you to use your device's native sharing capabilities (messaging, email, notes app) to export a text report of your data outside of the application, under your own control. This summary can calculate a total of all expenses.
We do not share any user data with third parties. Because we do not collect data from users, there is no possibility of disclosing your information, except if required to do so in direct response to a valid, legally enforceable subpoena or court order directed to you and requiring access to your private local files (this scenario is beyond the application’s control).
PesoTrack is designed as a student productivity tool. While the content is appropriate for all ages, the app does not knowingly collect personal information from any user, including children.
The application content, including income and expense categories, dashboard summaries, and academic references, is appropriate for an educational environment and free from any objectionable or restricted content.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the application’s functionality or to comply with updated Google Play Store requirements. Any changes will be indicated by the new "Effective Date" at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the PesoTrack application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
