LGU Baguio - PESO - Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) 

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Please bring the following initial documents/requirements upon application. Interested applicants must apply online or in person.

INITIAL Requirements:

Registrants must bring 1 photocopy each of the following documents for evaluation/validation:

1. Original Birth Certificate (PSA)

2. (a) High School Students:

   - Last school year completed grades and including the current grades, either original or certified true copy.

    (b.) College students:

   - Latest and completed grades of the 1st Semester of Academic Year 2025 (Original Copy of certificate issued by the School Registrar)

3. (a.) If Parent(s) is/are employed:

   - Original / Certified true copy of parents' latest Income Tax Return (ITR FORM 2316) duly filed w/ the BIR

    (b.) If Parent(s) is/are exempt from paying taxes/ unemployed:

   - Sworn statement of affidavit(s) preferably issued by the Public Attorney's Office. 

4. Original copy of Barangay Certificate of Low Income of parent(s), issued in the current year.

5. Latest school ID and school enrollment/registration form.

6. 1 Passport-sized ID Pictures (recent)

7. Original Copy of Barangay Certificate of Residency (applicant)

IF APPLICABLE:

1. Affidavit of Solo Parent/ Solo Parent ID (not expired)

2. Affidavit of Discrepancy (if name does not match the name on the birth certificate)

3. Death Certificate if Parent/s is/are deceased

Qualifications of interested Applicants:

1. Baguio resident;

2. Physically and mentally fit;

3. 15 to 30 years old upon registration;

4. Currently enrolled and plans to enroll for the next school term/semester immediately following the last day of SPES employment;

5. Must have garnered an average passing grade during the last school term attended;

6. Preferably not a Government Scholar nor a beneficiary of the City's Educational/ Financial Assistance;

7. Must be of Good Moral Character;

8. Must belong to a low income family or a family whose parents' joint income, do not exceed P 169,824.00 per year.

Important Reminders

The SPES Program, as provided for by R.A.7323, and as amended by R.A.9547 and further amended by R.A.10917, aims to help poor but deserving students finish their studies by giving them employment opportunities during their school breaks.

• Applications with complete requirements shall be submitted on or before the deadline.

• Your Application will undergo pre-evaluation process based on the requirements presented beforehand and we will inform you of the result.

• Job Application with incomplete requirements and failed to follow the steps will not be considered.

• You will be notified of the result of the Pre-evaluation though E-mail.

*Interview for new applicants will immediately follow after registration and/ or application. Those who qualify for examination will be notified through their registered mobile number(s) or via Facebook Messenger.
