The Milwaukee Road/Potowatomi Cleanup took place on March 21st. Thank you to all who participated and supported the event.
I am excited to announce that the Grand Opening of the art exhibit was on September 1st, 2026 at Tasca Chevrolet in Wheeling, IL. (see details Below)
The exhibit runs until September 28th 3pm.

To see the results of the cleanup in the woods please visit the Potawatomi Forest Preserve at
433 N. Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling, IL
We cleaned an area that was 456 wide and 35 feet deep.
We collected 36 stuffed bags of trash, found some fun , funny, and interesting pieces of trash
(underwear, beautiful empty bottles, a dollar bill, and more. )
We also caught burrs in the underbrush, listened to the birds, and had a beautiful warm and sunny day.
Artist Barb Sorensen was our MC for the day along with Donna of the Cleanup-Giveback organization.
We had snacks and water bottles available supplied by Cleanup-Giveback and our wonderful sponsors for this event.,
This event was photographed and videotaped as part of the art exhibit.
