This is a research and community Project, developing at School of Physical Education, Physiotherapy and Dance of Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (ESEFID / UFRGS). This project aims to verify the effects of dance on quality of life, functional mobility, wellbeing and cognition in people with Parkinson's disease.
In the community project, dance classes are offering twice a week, lasting one hour. The activities intend to achieve improvements in the physical, psychological and emotional aspects of the participants, through the learning of Samba and Forró (Dance Brazilian rhythms).
