Iris is broadly interested in using EMA to examine the characteristics and risk factors related to psychological distress. Her previous work has focused on exploring how everyday experiences of emotions and maladaptive cognitions (e.g., repetitive negative thinking) could be the risk factors for various forms of distress, such as depression. She received a Masters of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and is currently in her first year in the Clinical Psychology program at Mizzou.
