About Irena

I have been in education since 2006. It is a truly rewarding experience to share my interest in business and career related education with my students.

My many years of experience working in public and private sector, both in United States and in Europe, allow me to help students understand the importance of professional skills, such as computer skills, as they start on their path to the career of their choice.

I hold a Masters of Science in Marketing and Management, obtained from University of Latvia in 2003. I am a Texas certified teacher in several areas, such as Secondary Business Education, Technology Applications, Family and Consumer Science Education, Generalist EC-8 and Special Education. My certifications include Internet and Computing Core (IC3) as well as Microsoft Office Specialist credentials.

As a tax preparer I stay updated in the business, finance and customer service field. My goal is to take the knowledge and resources that I have gained over the yeas and share it with my students and their families.

Among my hobbies are landscaping, travel, cooking, reading. I always look for sources of inspiration that are usually found in biographies of people who were successful in achieving their dreams as they helped changing the lives of others.
