When the team at EducateHer.org approached me, their site was outdated, hard to navigate, and didn’t reflect the powerful work they were doing around global girls’ education. Here’s a look at how we transformed their web presence—inside the process, the problems, and the decisions that shaped the result.
The site had great content but poor structure. Donors couldn’t find key information, and mobile visitors dropped off quickly. I conducted a UX audit and stakeholder interviews to understand pain points.
We restructured the site around impact storytelling—featuring student journeys, project updates, and donation flows. The “Why We Exist” and “What We Do” pages were rebuilt for clarity and conviction.
I introduced a soft, compassionate visual identity—calming colors, open space, and WCAG-compliant typography. It was important to convey hope without sacrificing professionalism.
Post-launch, I created a custom CMS dashboard and 3 short Loom videos so the nonprofit team could update the site confidently, no tech background required.
The result was more than just a redesign—it was a reintroduction. Donation rates doubled within weeks, and the site became a tool for both fundraising and advocacy. I’m honored to have played a small part in their mission.
