This is an experiment to determine the feasibility of using an inexpensive 24 GHz doppler radar module to detect rain and snow and measure the rate. Work in progress.
Early results show that raindrops are clearly visible around 1 KHz in a spectrogram. Heavy snow is detectable at lower frequencies. A new PCB version is needed to lower the noise and increase the gain across the frequencies of interest. An STM32 will be processing the signals.
