Does it hurt? I use the best numbing agents in the industry. The eyeliner procedure will feel like a weird tickle, with the eyebrow procedure the first pass will feel like a light pluck, after that it should be painless, and the lip procedure will vary in discomfort depending on the person (I felt nothing when I got mine done.)
Remember: Pain tolerance varies by person. If you have a weak threshold this is subject to change.
Is this a tattoo? Most of the procedures do not use ink, I use a natural pigment, therefore it's semi-permanent. Some procedures can include a few drops of ink to ensure long-lasting results. I use a completely different method than tattoo artists; we don't even go into the same layer of skin!
Can you pick the color of your lips? I will consult with each client after doing a color analysis and guide the client to the color that best suits them! I will work with the client on what their desired color will be, however I know how pigment looks outside of the bottle and have education in color theory.
Is it permanent? In short, no. We do not use ink on most of our procedures, therefore they will fade over several years, but getting touch-ups can ensure a long-lasting, fresh look. If you do your after-care correctly, results will last even longer. Lifestyle choices such as sun-exposure can also hinder the longevity.
How long will it take? Each procedure varies in time, so generally expect anywhere from 1-3 hours.
Is it safe? I follow the Arkansas Health Department rules so everything is completely sterile. I have extensive training in sterilization and my profession. There's no risk of infection in my facility, but you must follow the after-care instructions.
What if I don't like it? Before we even begin your procedure, I will map out the procedure so you will have an idea how it will look. I will also do a color consult with the client. There are no surprises when it comes to your procedure. Following the procedure, you will come in for a follow-up appointment to discuss the color and overall finishing look of the procedure. If you would like to change anything, it would be during this appointment. If for some reason you are not prepared for the results, it, again, is semi-permanent and can be removed. It is important that you communicate with me during the consult to realize your desires.
What can I expect immediately after the procedure? The procedure area will be sensitive once it is no longer numbed and you might experience discomfort for a few days afterwards. The color of the procedure will be much darker than the color we chose, however it will lighten up to 50% within the 7-day healing process.
