This Privacy Policy applies to the My period cycle calendar application developed by Muhammad Arif Jamil ("we," "us," "our"), available on the Apple App Store. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information in compliance with Apple App Store Review Guidelines, Apple's App Privacy requirements, and global data protection laws including GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), LGPD (Brazil), VCDPA (Virginia), CDPA (Connecticut), and UCPA (Utah). We understand the deeply personal nature of menstrual and reproductive health data. Your privacy is our highest priority.
HEALTH DISCLAIMER: Cycle, period, ovulation, and fertility predictions provided by the App are estimates based on information entered by the user and may not always be accurate. The App is intended for general informational, wellness, and tracking purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App should not be used as the sole method of contraception, to confirm pregnancy, or to make urgent medical decisions. Consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding medical concerns, symptoms, pregnancy, fertility, or treatment decisions.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND USE
a) Health & Wellness Data (User-Entered)
All health data you enter is stored locally on your device and is never shared with third parties. This includes:
Menstrual cycle dates, flow intensity, and cycle history
Ovulation and fertility tracking data
Pregnancy planning and pregnancy test results you log
Symptoms, moods, and physical feelings
Body temperature and weight entries
Water intake and hydration logs
Medication and pill reminder schedules
Personal journal and blog entries
Exported health reports and insights
b) Device Information
Device identifier (vendor identifier / IDFV), IP address, and iOS version
App usage data and crash logs
Device model
c) Advertising Identifiers
Apple's Identifier for Advertising (IDFA), collected only after you grant permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, used for delivering and measuring ads
SKAdNetwork / Ad Attribution data for ad measurement and personalization
d) Diagnostics Data
May collect app performance information such as loading time, crashes, and technical diagnostics. This is used only to improve app stability and is never linked to your health data.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the collected information to:
Provide cycle tracking, ovulation prediction, fertility insights, symptom logging, reminders, and health reports
Generate personalized cycle predictions and fertility scores
Send smart reminders for periods, ovulation, medications, water intake, and self-care via Apple push/local notifications
Display personalized health insights and exported reports
Improve app performance and fix bugs
Deliver and measure in-app advertisements via third parties (only where you have granted App Tracking Transparency permission)
Prevent fraud and misuse and ensure app security
Comply with legal obligations under applicable privacy laws
HOW INFORMATION IS SHARED
We do not sell personal health or wellness information. We do not share user-entered menstrual, fertility, pregnancy, symptom, temperature, weight, sexual-activity, or journal information with advertisers or data brokers.
3. SENSITIVE HEALTH DATA – SPECIAL PROTECTION
Your menstrual, fertility, ovulation, pregnancy, weight, temperature, and symptom data are classified as sensitive health information. We apply the following special protections:
All personal health data is stored securely on your device
Health data is NEVER sold to third parties
Health data is NEVER shared with advertisers or data brokers
Optional encrypted backup via your personal iCloud account is available
Advertising and analytics providers do not receive your health entries. If you enable iCloud backup or synchronization, the information may be processed by Apple through your personal iCloud account under Apple’s privacy terms.
You can delete all your data at any time from within the App
4. DATA RETENTION POLICY
Health information is stored locally on your device and may be backed up through your personal iCloud account if you enable that feature and remains there until you delete it through the App, erase the App’s data, or uninstall the App. We do not store this locally held health information on our own servers.
We retain or permit our service providers to retain other information as follows:
• Firebase Analytics and app-usage data: retained for up to 14 months.
• Firebase Crashlytics and diagnostic data: retained for up to 90 days, unless a longer period is required to investigate an active technical or security issue.
• Advertising identifiers, ad interactions and attribution data: retained according to the configured retention periods of our advertising and attribution providers and only for as long as necessary for advertising measurement, fraud prevention and legal compliance.
• Privacy requests and related correspondence: retained for up to 24 months to document compliance with applicable privacy laws.
• Transaction records: handled by Apple and retained according to Apple’s applicable policies and legal obligations.
When information is no longer required, it is deleted, anonymized or aggregated, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention and backup requirements..
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Please review their policies:

IMPORTANT: Third-party services only receive non-health device and analytics data. Your personal health entries (cycle, symptoms, fertility, weight, etc.) are NEVER transmitted to any third party. Sd dNetwork and other permitted attribution information used to measure advertising performance without directly accessing the IDFA.
6. APP PERMISSIONS & SYSTEM CAPABILITIES (iOS)
The App may request the following iOS permissions or use the following system capabilities. Each is used only for its stated purpose:
Notifications (User Notifications) Allows the App to send you reminders for your period, ovulation, medications, water intake, and self-care tasks. You can manage this anytime via Settings > Notifications > Period Log & Cycle Tracker.
App Tracking Transparency (ATT) / IDFA Access: Before accessing your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), the App will present Apple's standard tracking permission prompt. You may allow or deny this request. Denying it will not affect core app functionality, only ad personalization.
Background App Refresh Allows the App to update reminders and process time-sensitive notifications (e.g., ovulation and medication alerts) even when not actively open.
Local Network / Internet Access Required for app functionality, analytics, ad delivery, and software updates.
Face ID or Touch ID: to protect access to the App when you enable this option. We receive only the authentication result.
The App does not collect, access, receive, store, or transmit your facial image, Face ID template, fingerprint, or other biometric data. Face ID and Touch ID information is processed and protected by Apple on your device. The App receives only an authentication result, such as success or failure. You can disable biometric access within the App’s security settings or through your iOS device settings. If biometric authentication is unavailable or disabled, the App may offer a PIN or device-passcode option where supported.
7. OPT-OUT RIGHTS & YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the App using the standard uninstall process available on iOS.
You have the right to know how your data is collected, used, and shared. We do not sell your personal health or sensitive tracking data to third parties. External analytics and advertising providers may process identifiers, device information, usage information and advertising interactions as described in this Privacy Policy.
8. HOW TO OPT OUT OF SALE, SHARING, AND PERSONALIZED ADVERTISING
We do not sell personal information for monetary compensation. However, certain disclosures of non-health information to advertising providers may be considered “sharing” or targeted advertising under applicable privacy laws.
You may control advertising and tracking as follows:
• Deny or withdraw tracking permission through Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your iOS device.
• Use the “Privacy Choices” or “Manage Consent” option available within the App, where required and available, to review or change your advertising-consent choices.
• Email joinappstudio@gmail.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.”
Withdrawing consent or tracking permission will not prevent all advertisements from appearing, but it may limit personalization and cross-app tracking.
We will process verified privacy requests as required by applicable law.

CCPA PRIVACY RIGHTS (CALIFORNIA USERS)

Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal data
Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights
We do not sell your health data. However, we may share non-health data (advertising identifier, device info, app usage) with advertising partners like Google AdMob, subject to your App Tracking Transparency permission. Under CCPA, this may be considered "sharing."

Our current disclosure is:
• Personal health and wellness information: not sold and not shared with advertisers or data brokers.
• Biometric information: not collected, stored, sold, or shared by us.
• Non-health identifiers, device information, usage information, ad interactions, and attribution information: may be disclosed to analytics, diagnostic, Apple, and advertising providers for the purposes described above.
• Sale of personal information for money: none.
• Sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising: may occur only for limited non-health advertising information and only where permitted by applicable law and your Apple tracking choice.

10. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
We rely on the following legal bases for processing your data:
Consent: Where you have provided explicit consent, such as agreeing to App Tracking Transparency for personalized ads or enabling optional.
Contractual Necessity: To provide app features and fulfill our service obligations
Legitimate Interests: To improve the App, ensure security, and detect fraud
Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable laws and regulations
11. IN-APP PURCHASES
Our App offers in-app purchases to unlock premium features, advanced fertility insights, or remove ads.
Payment details are processed securely via the Apple App Store / Apple In-App Purchase system. We do not store or access your payment information.
Transactions are managed by Apple per its own policies.
Manage or cancel subscriptions via Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iOS device.
Refunds are subject to Apple's official refund policies (requested via reportaproblem.apple.com).
12. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

13. DATA SECURITY
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including local encrypted storage, iOS platform security features (such as the Secure Enclave and Data Protection encryption), and secure transmission protocols. However, no method of digital transmission or storage is 100% secure. We continuously work to improve our security practices to protect your sensitive health information.
14. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We rely on legal safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure compliance with GDPR and other applicable privacy laws.
