The first thing you need to know about me, is that I am a nerd, which is why I have made my entire school year into one gigantic game called Perilous Frontiers, which takes us from European exploration of North America in the 1500's through Industrialization in the early 1900's. I hope we can have a blast this year learning more than you ever thought was possible in school.
A little bit about my life, I was born in Riverside, CA, but my family moved to Tokyo, Japan when I was 9 months old and I lived there until I graduated high school. My dad was a History and English teacher in Japan and my mom was a Math teacher as well, so teaching is in my blood. After graduating from Fresno Pacific University, I worked with juvenile offenders for 6 years and taught Criminology at the college level as well. Finally, I realized I love teaching more than anything, but college students are BORING, so I switched to middle school students and I found my passion! I love the energy and enthusiasm that middle schoolers possess and feel energized everyday I get to teach them!
My amazing wife (Tia) and I have 3 amazing and crazy kids, Willow (8), Poppy (6), and Fox (4), we live in central Fresno and we love it here! Never leaving.
