Pegrine Ward
Pegrine Ward
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As we conclude this year by celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ, let’s look back at the year we have had together. In February, we were formed as the current iteration of the Peregrine Ward with Saints from the Peregrine, Haven Cove, and Meridian 12th wards. Six weeks later, we became one of seven wards in the new Fuller Park Stake. Just about every member of our ward got a new calling. We have gathered for sacrament meetings, missionary farewells, and stake and ward activities. It has been a historical year. One we will remember for a long time.
As we wind down the year, we would like to invite each of you to come to two more gatherings. First is the Peregrine Ward Christmas Party on Friday, December 20th at 6 pm at the Blackcat building at 1985 N Blackcat Rd Meridian, ID 83642. There will be dinner, treats, and a Christmas program. We invite all ward members to come and invite friends from our ward boundaries. The second gathering will be the Sunday before Christmas, December 22nd at 12 pm. This sacrament meeting has been set aside as an hour to share music and the spoken word celebrating the birth and life of Jesus Christ. All are welcome to come and be a part of this sacred meeting. Please invite everyone you know, and more specifically those you feel moved upon by the Spirit to invite, to come to sacrament meeting. This will be the only meeting of the day.
We add our testimonies to the prophet Isaiah “For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6). Jesus is indeed the Christ; the One prophesied would save the world from their sins. Through His atoning sacrifice we can overcome our sins, our pains and our sadness; we can live again after we die. Jesus Christ lives. He is our Savior and Redeemer. May you feel peace and joy this Christmas season and share those feelings with others.
Sincerely,
Bishop Paul Nielsen
