Georgios Mylonas is a Principal Researcher at the Industrial Systems Institute, “Athena” Research and Innovation Center, Patras, Greece. He received his Ph.D., MSc and diploma degree from the Dpt. of Comp. Engineering and Informatics at the University of Patras. Before joining Athena RC, he was a senior researcher at the Computer Technology Institute and Press “Diophantus”, Greece. His research interests lie in the areas of IoT, smart cities, wireless sensor networks, distributed and pervasive systems. He has been involved in the AEOLUS, WISEBED, SmartSantander, OrganiCity and E2Data EU research projects, focusing on algorithmic and software issues of sensor networks, IoT and smart cities. He has co-authored over 70 journal and conference papers. He coordinated and was the Principal Investigator of the Green Awareness in Action (GAIA) H2020 project, focusing on sustainability awareness and energy efficiency in the educational sector. He is a member of the IEEE STC on Smart and Circular Cities.

Ioannis Chatzigiannakis is an Associate Professor with the Department of Computer, Control and Management Engineering, Sapienza University, Rome, Italy, since 2014. Before joining Sapienza, he was a senior researcher at the Computer Technology Institute and Press “Diophantus”, Greece and adjunct faculty at the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics, University of Patras, Greece. His research interests include data science, IoT, pervasive and distributed computing, and algorithmic and software engineering. He received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Patras, Patras, Greece. He has authored more than 150 journal and conference papers and has participated in 18 research projects funded by FP6, FP7, H2020 and JIP-FP. He is member of the Steering Committee of the Interdisciplinary Center SAPIENZA DESIGN RESEARCH (SDR), Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, since November 2018. He was Secretary of the European Association of Theoretical Computer Science, 2008-2020.

Federica Paganelli, University of Pisa

Federica Paganelli received her Ph.D. degree in telematics and information society from the University of Firenze, Italy, in 2004. She has worked as Researcher at the National Interuniversity Consortium for Telecommunications (CNIT), Italy and as Contract Professor at the University of Firenze. She is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Pisa. She co-authored over 60 conference and journal papers. Her research interests are in the areas of IoT and context-aware systems, smart city platforms, network virtualization, service overlay networks with focus on service composition and resource orchestration. She has been involved in several European Projects and in research projects funded by the Italian Ministry of Research in the area of Smart Cities, IoT and Network Softwarization. She has served as TPC member in several conferences and workshops and as reviewer in international journals (e.g., IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Systems Journal), as well as being a Conference Organizer for the recent Network of the Future 2021. She is currently serving as Associated Editor of IEEE TNSM.

Janick Edinger is an assistant professor for distributed operating systems at the University of Hamburg, Germany. His research interests include distributed computing, pervasive computing, and assistive technologies. Janick has been a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Mannheim with Professor Christian Becker where he also had received his PhD in 2019. He has studied at the University of Mannheim, University of Alberta, Edmonton (Canada), and the National Taiwan University, Taipei (Taiwan). In July 2017, Janick had a research stay at the The Hong Kong Polytechnic University with Professor Jiannong Cao. Janick served in the technical program committee (IEEE CCNC 2014, IEEE AIST2017), as general co-chair of PerAwareCity2019 and PerAwareCity 2020, and as publicity chair (IEEE AIST2017, MobileHealth2017).

Vaskar Raychoudhury is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Software Engineering, Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, USA. Prior to this, he served as an assistant professor in the Computer Science department of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, India since 2011. His research interests include smart system development using mobile and pervasive computing and networking techniques, Internet of Things (IoT), Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), and intelligent decision making using large-scale sensor data. He was a visiting assistant professor to the Informatik department, TU Darmstadt in summer 2015 under the DAAD-IIT joint fellowship on bilateral academic exchange. He is a senior member of ACM, a senior member of IEEE, and a member of the editorial board of Elsevier Journal of Network and Computer Applications (JNCA). Vaskar is currently working as an Alexander von Humboldt fellow at the University of Mannheim, Germany. He has organized several special sessions and workshops (IEEE AIST 2017, ACM Mobile Health 2017) in various conferences related to the Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart City. Vaskar has organized the PerAwareCity workshop during Percom for the past 3 years. He has also proposed and served as the first-ever artifact evaluation co-chair for Percom2020.
