Resistencia en Austin

In Fall 2022, People's Library of Resistance worked with the Signature Courses program at The University of Texas at Austin to develop the undergraduate seminar, "Resistencia en Austin." Through this course students drew from the PLR to learn about the Chicana/o/x, Latina/o/x, Indigenous-centered social justice, grassroots arts, and politics of East Austin, but also to be exposed to digital humanistic approaches. The class concentrated on examining and discussing PLR materials as well as asked students to create a final digital project based on a "cultural artifact" from the PLR.
