WHAT: I am a conversational gardener! What does that mean? It means that I design and facilitate conversations for groups to explore their issues and opportunities. This could be about anything from strategic development, improving organisational processes, to community groups discovering their shared vision. I also work as a trainer delivering workshops that explore skills in personal, relational, and organisational development, including self-management, communication, coaching, training, and facilitation skills.
HOW: My approach is based on principles and processes that are participatory and dialogic, drawing from the emerging field of human complex systems. I work with the natural and often messy ways that humans come together to experiment and innovate.
WHY: I believe that in an increasingly complex world there are no off-the-shelf solutions. Groups and organisations can find their own answers through engaging the hearts and minds of their own people.
EDUCATION: I have a Masters in Management Psychology, and accreditations in Coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Technology of Participation, Human Systems Dynamics, and Cognitive Edge. I also use a range of methods such as Open Space Technology, World Café, Appreciative Inquiry, Theory U.
