Penny Ledger ("the App") is developed and published by TechInfy ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Penny Ledger, you agree to the practices described here.
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. This is used to identify your account and personalize the app.
Financial data you enter. PennyLedger is an expense-tracking app. Any data you enter — transaction amounts, categories, notes, payment methods, budgets, account names, and group tags — is stored securely in our database (Google Firebase/Firestore), scoped to your account. We do not access, read, or analyze the content of your financial entries for any purpose other than displaying it back to you within the app.
Google Drive backup (Premium feature). If you use the optional Backup to Google Drive feature, the App requests limited Google Drive access (the drive.file scope) that only allows it to see and manage files the App itself creates — it cannot access any other files in your Drive.
Purchase information. Premium purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made and which plan you purchased, but we never see or store your payment card details — those are handled directly by Google Play.
Advertising (non-Premium users only). If you are on the free Basic plan, the App displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and interaction data to serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google's advertising policies. Premium users do not see ads and this data is not collected for them.
Data that stays on your device only. If you enable App Lock, biometric or PIN verification is handled entirely by your device's operating system — Penny Ledger never sees or stores your fingerprint, face data, or device PIN. Local notification scheduling (for budget alerts and recurring transaction reminders) also happens entirely on-device.

We do not sell your personal or financial data to any third party.
Penny Ledger relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
Google Firebase — authentication and data storage
Google Sign-In — account authentication
Google Play Billing — purchase processing
Google AdMob — advertising (Basic plan only)
Google Drive API — optional backup storage (Premium plan only)
Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active. You can delete individual transactions, categories, or accounts at any time within the App. To request full deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us using the details below — we will process deletion requests within a reasonable time.
Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure and protected by Firebase's security rules, which restrict access to only your own signed-in account. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Penny Ledger is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
