About the Service:

Pennsylvania (PA) K-12 School Principal Practice Course

This one-day course is designed to meet the needs of school administrators who are seeking to prepare for the Pennsylvania Professional Educator Certification Tests (PECT). The course is offered in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. The cost is $100 per person and includes all materials, breakfast, lunch and parking.

The PECT tests assess knowledge of educational theory and practice at levels ranging from PreK-6 (grades K-6) through grade 12. This test is used by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDOE) to determine whether candidates are eligible to become certified school principals, assistant principals or other administrative positions requiring certification as part of the job description.

The test content aligns with the PA Core Standards for Professional Educators. The PECT tests consist of two parts: Multiple Choice Questions (Part A) and Performance Based Questions (Part B). Candidates must pass each section of the exam separately in order to be recommended for certification approval by PDE.
