Meet Rose. If you have read Chasing Shadows, you know who she is. If you haven't, you really should, but I won't force it on you. She is the main character in my first fantasy trilogy.

Rose is a spoiled princess in a land between realms. Well as spoiled as you can be in a realm that is dying due to the horde of Demons taking over. She has no idea about what is going on outside the walls of her father's castle. But she still is determined to keep her subjects alive and as safe as possible.

Lucas is a beloved friend and soldier of her father's he has been given guard duty of the innocent maid. Promises to a lost friend keep him in her sphere and fighting to help her stay alive.

War has overtaken the Guardian's realm. For a century demons have taken over the lands. Their enslavement of any not like them has created a barren wasteland. Those who fought back have met one of three fates.
