The fine ladies who have been serving our Carrot Cake all winter - Sharron Sekol, Ann Lees, and Susan "Card Shark" Pelkey
The birthday boys and girls from our March Celebration.
Randy Hooper recently shared this shot from a mere 7 years ago. Notice the distance between the seawall and the parked cars - largely due to the grass covered dunes. And the walkway platform can't be more than a step and a half above the sand.
After this over sized water bug caused panic during water aerobics Rita Hinton dove in and managed to remove it from the pool.
In order to ensure it did not bother the ladies again she ran over it several times with her walker to ensure its demise.
Way to go Rita!!
The Pel's Angels biking group takes to the water at JB's Fish Camp for a little kayaking.
From left: Randy Hooper, Scott Larabee, Mike and JoLynn Flesher, Stuart Willoughby, Barbara and Craig Simonds.
Group leader Stuart maneuvers to the shore.
Peace and quite on the open water.
(And nice nails!)

2024 Pelican Art Show
Another great Art Show was put on by a number of talented folks, including those shown below.
Missing from these photos is Mary McCarthy, whose cards, books and poetry - including "The Little Leaguer Grows Up" (Winner of the National Baseball Poetry Contest) - were on display.
Note: Sandi Swanson was handing out small craft kits to attendees and has a few left over if anyone is interested.
Kathleen Austin is new to the show with her water colors.
Ann Rinaldo with some impressive pottery pieces.
Sue Palackas sits in front of a small sample of her artwork - all of which she has created during her winter stay.
A patron visits with artist Alice Mastin. The sea turtle and pencil drawing in the foreground are the works of husband Phil.
Sandi Swanson displays her many counted cross stitch and card making projects.
Dick Palackas doing what he does best - sitting by a bottle of wine. He just happened to make this one.
Dick prepares for the drawing to win a fine bottle of homemade Chianti.
Phil Mastin tends to his artwork.
Three things worthy of mention in this photo of Alice Mastins table. 1) The whiskey glass on the left is a hand painted product of the recent glass painting class. 2) The photo box in the center is also a product of a similar class led by Alice. 3) The flowered mug is a creation of Ann Rinaldo and was made from the adjacent poppies card she purchased from Alice the year before.
A lot of talent in one photo.
