The annual Pelican Golf Scramble was held Tuesday, March 14th (Pi Day) and it was another fun outing.
For the first time we had two divisions - Men's and Ladies.
The foursome of Tom Lees, Jack Barber, Jim Collard, and David Lusby finished first among the gents at 9 under. To communicate with his team Tom had to take a crash course in Canadian, eh. But it all worked out, thanks in part to David's chip in eagle.
Winners among the fairer sex were Linda Larabee, Linda Barber, Sue Fasoli and Connie Thornhill. The three groups of libation fueled ladies seemed to be having the better time, wobbly legs and all, on a beautiful March day.
Winner of the putting contest was Mary Corrado - one of our non-golfing participants.
From the first tee to the banquet crumbs it was a great time (complete with a personal cherry pie for each participant in honor of Pi Day).
Come join us next year - if only for the putting contest.
