The Rubber Hand Illusion (RHI) is a tantalizing illusion. The feeling that a rubber hand belongs to one's body (sense of ownership) is brought about by stroking a visible rubber hand synchronously to the participant's own occluded hand.
In this project, I used two stepper motors to stimulate the actual hand and rubber hand in synchronous and asynchronous modes.
The time of stimulation is 200ms. As the stimulations start, a trigger will be sent to the computer. Meanwhile, an EEG helmet is set on the subject head to measuring brainwave patterns produced by the brain in response to stimulation.
