Ms. Powers

I am a Colorado native. Traveling with my father's job I have lived in eight different states, but Colorado is home. My love of art came from my mom. When she went to college when I was around three years old I use to help my mom with her art projects. When she was an art teacher I would go to school with her and she would set up a potters wheel for me to play on with the clay. Art has been a way to dream. I love to work with all kinds of materials. I love it when I have to use my imagination. I like the challenge when given a variety of materials in front of me and I have to figure out what I can make with them. I share this creative gift I was given with my students. I show them that they can create anything by using their imagination.

My nickname is fish, I have taught swim lessons for thirty-eight years. I love to swim whether it is in a pool or lake. I love the outdoors. I like to camp, hike.
