I conducted this workshop with GW faculty after an in-depth needs analysis revealed a critical requirement to revamp the program's content for better professional alignment. By facilitating a process where faculty analyzed and mapped job description responsibilities and KSAs directly to course competencies, we ensured the curriculum met current industry demands. This strategic overhaul led to measurable success, including increased student satisfaction and retention, more effective recruitment marketing, and a 30% increase in program revenue.
As a senior leader in Instructional Design, I strategically developed and led this comprehensive workshop for the USC MPA Faculty to integrate human-centered design into academic curriculum development. The session utilized the "Design Thinking" model—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test—to bridge the gap between traditional systems thinking and innovative learning experience design. By showcasing multimedia exemplars and collaborative prototyping techniques, I empowered faculty to enhance student engagement through iterative, real-world application strategies.
Designed for the WSU Carson College of Business, this workshop series focused on scaling program development while enhancing the digital learning experience through a new, learner-focused Blackboard template. I led initiatives to streamline course structures and syllabus delivery, significantly reducing content errors and improving navigation for both students and faculty. By integrating interactive media and "soft skills" modules, I successfully bridged the gap between academic theory and the professional competencies today’s employers prioritize.
